Over the past ten years, my husband and I extensively explored Washington D.C. while living in Maryland, and now that we live in the New York City metro area, we have started touring around the Hudson Valley and lower New England. In both cities/metro areas, we have really gotten to know many of the sights, almost as well as professional tour guides! So I’ve decided that I should share my experiences, recommendations and photos with the internet at large, so that others can also benefit from my experiences and somewhat obsessive research about local history, traditions and cuisine.
